Climbing mountains is an excellent way to exercise because you breathe fresh air. Instead of being stuck inside a gym, during the hottest days of the year, mountain climbing allows you to do your workout while being surrounded by stunning natural scenery.

It is important to note that this form of exercise can be rigorous; depending on the type of mountain you want to climb, you might need training and discipline.  Prepare for your climb in advance – research, and workout before the climb to avoid any physical injuries.

Hiking and climbing is a versatile sport, it can either be done alone or with a group of people. Everything depends on how you are feeling, you can join up with friends or other climbers if you are in the mood to have a chat or you could take off on your own for some quiet ‘me’ time.

It is also an excellent way to spend the day when there is gorgeous weather and you want to do something with friends or family. But, if you feel more comfortable going by yourself, make sure you take the necessary safety precautions and that someone always knows your location.

4. Introspection and finding Peace
