Ice cream is, by all means, the ultimate favorite summer treat, it is good anytime, anywhere. Whether you want to compliment your morning coffee, have it as an afternoon snack, or a refreshing dessert for dinner – ice cream is there for you. In this article, we gathered 5 plant-based ice creams that you absolutely have to try this summer!

1. Røar

Røar makes delicious ice cream flavors based on water, vegetable oils (coconut, sunflower), rice syrup, and other organic ingredients like mango puree or hazelnut paste. There are currently three Røar ice cream flavors: Hemp Seed Chocolate Brownie, Coconut Mango Passion Fruit Oat Cookie, and Hazelnut Chocolate Cookie. Yum!

Apart from creating the tastiest ice cream flavors, Røar is on a mission to save endangered wild cats. Røar works in partnership with the Panthera organization which aims to increase the population of extinct tigers. This is also the answer for those who were wondering, “Why is there a huge tiger image on my plant-based ice cream tub?”

2. Oatly

You might have already tried a bunch of amazing Oatly products including their legendary iKaffe oat drink. If not, find the nearest coffee shop that serves oat cappuccino on the Oatfinder map. Oatly’s mission is to create alternative products using only organic Swedish oats.

A few years back, after the worldwide success of oat-based drinks, Oatly created a range of oat-based ice creams. The ingredients are simple, and the flavors are delicious. Choose your favorite (vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut swirl, strawberry, salted caramel, mint chip) and find it in the nearest supermarket.
